Description
Xico XL Spore Print | Collected in the Sierra Madre Foothills
Strain Origin – Xico XL originates from the picturesque town of Xico, nestled in the foothills of the Eastern Sierra Madre range.
Known for its cobblestoned streets, colorful colonial architecture, and the striking mosaiced cathedral in the central plaza, this region provides the natural backdrop where Xico XL was first collected.
Harvested from the surrounding hills, this cubensis variety reflects the richness of its environment.
- Gill Formation – Gills are typically medium to large, with a range of formations observed. Most specimens show open gills well-suited for spore production.
Microscopic Features – Spores are purplish-brown in color, measuring approximately 7 x 12 micrometers. Xico XL produces strong spore deposits during sporulation, making it ideal for printing and observation under magnification. Microscopes and proper magnification equipment are recommended to study its microscopic features in detail.
⚠ Spores are intended for microscopy, taxonomy, and novelty purposes only.
- Rare varieties of psilocybe cubensis will be retired in the Genetic Vault.
