Leucistic A + Spore Print

Strain Origin – L.A+ is a long-standing leucistic Psilocybe cubensis variety that has been circulating since the 1990s. Known for its consistent stability and recognizable appearance, it has become one of the classic leucistic strains preserved in collections for decades.

Morphology – Fruiting bodies are typically pale and ghostly in coloration, with reduced pigmentation compared to standard cubensis. Caps are smooth and off-white, often contrasted by faintly green-tinted nipples in some specimens, adding to the strain’s unique appeal.

Background – With its reliable performance and unmistakable look, L.A+ has remained a favorite among collectors and researchers. It represents both the heritage of early cubensis domestication and the enduring fascination with leucistic expressions.

• Gill formation – Gills typically are medium to large, wide range of formation. Likely to have available gills for spore production. Spores do discharge.
• Microscopy features Purple spores. Spore measure 7 x 12 micrometers. This variety does typically discharge plenty spores. Microscopes and magnification equipment are recommended for viewing microscopic features.
