Axiom Isolated Spore Syringe offers a specimen from our White Golden Teacher × Enigma cross in a syringe format for microscopy and taxonomy research. Its story is one of familiar features, strange mutations and a line that continues to surprise us.
Three years of surprises
After more than three years of observation, Axiom has continued to show several distinct forms rather than settling into one consistent appearance.
Caps, stems and recognizable gills can appear alongside dense coral formations. Elsewhere, broad fins, pointed caps and unusual gill arrangements give specimens a completely different character. Some gills separate into shapes that resemble individual flower petals.
Several of these forms can appear side by side. You can see echoes of both parents, while Axiom keeps a character all its own.
