Cap (Pileus): Measuring 1.5–5 cm in diameter, the cap is caramel to chestnut-brown when moist, fading to a pale buff or slightly yellowish hue upon drying. Its most distinguishing feature is the wavy margin that becomes more pronounced as the mushroom matures.

Gills (Lamellae): The gills are adnate, transitioning from light brown to dark purple-brown as they mature, with lighter edges.
