• Gill formation – Gills typically are medium to large, wide range of formation. Likely to have available gills for spore production.
• Microscopy features – Golden/ yellow/ rust spores.  Spores measure 7 x 12 micrometers. This variety Golden Halo discharges spores during sporulation. Spores can be printed to be observed under magnification. Microscopes and magnification equipment are recommended for viewing microscopic features. Like all cubensis spores the golden halo spores are translucent and contain a pigment. Although they can produce a golden color at times the produce more rust with orange tones. This con be manipulated easily as the heavier the spore load on a print the darker they appear.
