Origin

Enigma mushrooms are an extraordinary and rare fungal anomaly. This coral-like mutation is entirely dependent on human intervention for survival, as it could not persist in the wild. Originally discovered by Boomer Smith and Magic Myco, these mushrooms are recreated exclusively through careful cloning techniques, preserving their unique structure across generations.

Basidium Equilibrium considers this striking morphology a form of “fungal mutation,” likely arising from prolonged cultivation under controlled conditions. Over many generations, fungi removed from natural substrates, light, and airflow can develop unusual, hard-to-explain forms.

This mutation does not develop gills.

 No basidia are formed, so spore production does not occur.
